Preparing the preparations for the first meeting of the Governing Board of the Instegrated management of watershed and Bio-resource
"International Center for the Integrated Management of Watershed and Bio-Resources in Arid and Semi-Arid Regions" under the auspices of UNESCO, will hold its first Governing Board meeting on April 24, 2024, at the Natural Resources and Watershed Management Organization.
According to Article 7 of the agreement between the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and UNESCO, it is stipulated that the International Center for the Integrated Management of Watershed and Bio-Resources in Arid and Semi-Arid Regions shall annually convene the Governing Board meeting. According to the notification of the then Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Chairmanship of the Governing Board has been delegated to the esteemed Director-General of the organization, Dr. Nobakht.
In this regard, Dr. Hamid Nouri, the Director of the International Center for the Integrated Management of Watershed and Bio-Resources in Arid and Semi-Arid Regions, announced that the first Governing Board meeting will be held on April 24, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM with the invitation of national and foreign guests. To ensure the best possible conduct of this meeting, a committee consisting of staff members of the center and responsible officials for administrative, financial, public relations, international affairs, and promotion and public participation has been formed.
Nouri added that all departments have worked in a cohesive team effort to ensure that this meeting is conducted in line with the organization's reputation and the center's duties in the best possible manner. Nouri mentioned that necessary coordination has been carried out with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and UNESCO offices in Iran.
